The Clinic Director will be highly compensated (salary, commissions, and bonuses!) for accepting responsibility for the overall performance and operation of a clinic composed of approximately 10-15 professional outpatient therapists. This includes hiring and recruiting fantastic, unique and fun-loving clinicians; managing clinic performance and client satisfaction; providing training and ongoing developmental support; meeting fiscal goals; marketing clinical services and building community partnerships and referrals.
Reporting & Supervision:
- Clinic Director will work in partnership with Franchise Owner.
- All clinic therapists report to the Clinic Director.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee the hiring process for therapists within the clinic.
- Provide training for clinic new hires, including training on the Ellie Mental Health clinical and operational policies and procedures.
- Assess ongoing development needs and coordinate ongoing training as needed.
- Hold staff compassionately accountable for meeting performance expectations.
- Manage staff performance, including implementing performance coaching and performance improvement plans.
- Provide 1:1 consultation with all therapy staff to review productivity, caseload and clinical documentation.
- Provide clinical oversight to clinic’s mental health practitioners including signing clinical documentation for pre-licensed providers.
- Participate in Clinic Director peer consult group to ensure clinical excellence and alignment with best practices.
- Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create and implement a treatment plan, complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews and case notes.
- Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
- Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session.
- Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff and school staff as needed.
- Collaborate with Franchise Owner on clinic site selection, office layout and client experience.
- Partner with Franchise Owner and Ellie Mental Health corporate staff to implement strategies for fiscal and clinical efficiency.
- Monitor and manage clinic office schedules.
- Provide timely response to concerns raised by clients and clinicians.
- Spearhead clinic’s community outreach and engagement efforts, in collaboration with franchise owner and consistent with guidance from Ellie outreach team.
- Collaborate with Ellie marketing team and Franchise Owner to promote clinic’s online visibility.
- Collaborate with Franchise Owner and Ellie corporate team to implement policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve client care, quality, and effectiveness and implement changes as needed.
Operations and Training
- Clinic Director will attend Ellie Academy in Minnesota.
- Operations manuals, employee handbooks and staff training materials (including electronic health record training) will be provided.
- Continuing education credits through online learning management system will be offered.
Back Office
- Administrative functions (e.g. scheduling, billing).
- Human resources (e.g. credentialing, payroll).
- Recruiting guidance including job descriptions and management of job postings.
- Centralized credentialing and onboarding toolkits for new hires.
- NY Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a PhD or PsyD degree.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and executive skill sets.
- Strong working knowledge of New York State requirements regulating mental health practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and changing environment.
- Adept at learning and navigating Electronic Health Record systems.
- Experience in managing a therapy clinic or program is a definite plus.
- Experience conducting and documenting neuropsychological testing for ASD, ADD, ADHD, etc
